Nootka Sound
4 Day and longer fishing trips

Experience the great fishing at Nootka Sound. It's hard to come home without catching a fish from this area. Gold River is home to some great Chinook fishing and the Nootka Sound offers great fishing for all species with lots of salmon, halibut, red snapper and bottomfish.

Best times:
July, August and September for salmon.
April to September for Halibut, rockfish and snapper.

Gold River

Getting there:
If travelling by car, follow signs from north end of Campbell River to Gold River which is about a 1.5 hour drive. Go past Gold River and follow the paved road to the wharf at the head of Muchalet Inlet.
